Green college class focuses on how to draw birds to your yard

Learn how to attract and identify birds in your yard and find out the benefits they provide to your garden in a free Green College Class at Rail City Garden Center, 1720 Brierley Way in Sparks at 11 a.m. on Sat., Oct. 22nd.

Dr. Alan Gubanich, UNR Emeritus Professor of Ornithology (the branch of zoology that deals with the scientific study of birds) will share information on how to attract birds and how and what to feed the birds this winter.

Seating for the class is limited and reservations are recommended. Call 775-335-1551 to reserve your seat.

While the class is free, a donation of a can of food for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada is suggested.  A Food Bank collection barrel is conveniently located at Rail City Garden Center.
