2011 “Outstanding Corporation” Cornerstone Award honors Philanthropy
As a proud sponsor of hundreds of community events and fundraisers across Northern Nevada and California, the Eldorado Hotel Casino is honored to be chosen as the Association of Fundraising Professionals “Outstanding Corporation” Award winner for philanthropic outreach.
Nominated by the Committee to Aid Abused Women and the Association of Fundraising Professionals Sierra Chapter, the Eldorado will be honored on National Philanthropy Day, November 17, 2011 during the AFP’s Cornerstone Awards Luncheon.
“This is quite an honor, as the Eldorado family has always been dedicated to giving back,” says Cindy Carano, Executive Director of Hotel Operations. “Being a family-owned property, we understand how important it is to re-invest in a community that has invested so much in us.”
The Sierra Chapter of the AFP has more than 90 active members from the Reno, Sparks, Lake Tahoe and surrounding Truckee Meadows area and provides philanthropic education, training and mentorship programs.
