LAKE TAHOE, Nev. – A prescribed burn was performed May 12, 2011 in the Tunnel Creek area of Lake Tahoe, Nevada. The objectives include the re-introduction of fire to create an effective fuel break between Incline Village and Nevada State Park lands, and to create a mineral seed bed for various trees in the Tahoe Basin. This set shows Nevada Division of Forestry crews conducting the burn.
