NNMC only Reno-Tahoe area hospital to earn recognition

For the second year in a row, employees ranked Northern Nevada Medical Center among the 2011 Best Places to Work in Reno/Tahoe™. NNMC was named one of seven finalists in the Large Company category (151-700 employees) in the Quantum Workplace annual Greater Reno-Tahoe Best Places to Work. NNMC was the only hospital in any category to earn this recognition.

Companies earn nomination through an anonymous, online survey that their employees may complete. The survey, developed by Quantum Workplace, polls full-time, permanent employees in the greater Reno-Lake Tahoe area. The survey required that at least 50 percent of employees complete the survey to reach a 95-percent confidence level with a margin of error of plus or minus five percent.

“This recognition means a lot because it comes from our employees, and it demonstrates that our culture at Northern Nevada Medical Center attracts caring, engaged professionals who enjoy caring for patients,” said Mark W. Crawford, CEO NNMC. “More and more the community is entrusting us to care for them, and that is the highest compliment that they can ever pay us.”

Northern Nevada Medical Center is a 108-bed acute care hospital located at 2375 E. Prater Way in Sparks. The hospital has 447 employees.
