”Volunteering during the Festival provides a great opportunity to spend an active weekend outdoors while getting involved in a fun community event,” said Robin Lewis, Reno River Festival volunteer coordinator. “With our schedule of events and attendance numbers increasing with each passing year, volunteers are a crucial component in helping to produce a successful event.”

Round up a group of friends or family and make a weekend of it with volunteer shifts ranging from 1 ½ to five hours. Positions include registering participants and overseeing the 2.5-mile course, featuring hundreds of costumed runners and surprise mystery obstacles. In addition, the weekend features live entertainment during free Music in the Park, free Yoga in the Park at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, a kid’s zone including bounce houses and activities, the official Kick-Off Party and concert featuring English Beat Friday at 8 p.m. and the Festival’s first-ever Biggest Little Homebrew Challenge Sunday at 2 p.m.
