Friday, April 1, 2011 – Saint Mary’s Medical Group (SMMG) welcomes primary-care physician Dr. Elizabeth Jaffe to the provider team at its Robb Drive location. This medical practice offering both primary and urgent care is located at 1595 Robb Drive, Suite 2 in Reno. The SMMG physicians continue to see primary care patients Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., while urgent care services are available to the community Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“Saint Mary’s Medical Group is dedicated to meeting the needs of our changing community, and we are excited to welcome Dr. Jaffe to our Robb Drive practice,” said Donald Farrimond, MD, medical director of Saint Mary’s Medical Group. “Bringing Dr. Jaffe on board will allow more patients to access primary care services in this neighborhood.”
Dr. Jaffe will join primary care physicians Dr. Donald Farrimond and Dr. Suraj Verma at the Robb Drive location. A graduate of the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Dr. Jaffe is a board-certified family practice physician. She is a member of the American Board of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association and the Washoe County Medical Society. Additionally, Dr. Jaffe serves as a delegate to the Physician Computer Networking Ad Hoc Committee of the Washoe County Medical Society.
Primary care physicians diagnose and treat common health problems, coordinate medical care for patients, manage medications, promote healthy lifestyles, and focus on disease prevention. An urgent care center is a convenient and cost-effective way to treat unexpected health problems outside of a primary care doctor’s office hours.
