Mark Crawford Recognized for Hospital Leadership at NNMC

(SPARKS, Nev.) – Mark W. Crawford, CEO of Northern Nevada Medical Center, was recently appointed to the Universal Health Services (UHS) Chairman’s Council, the highest honor awarded to a UHS CEO/Managing Director.

Appointment to the Chairman’s Council is based on inspired leadership skills with an emphasis on building strong management teams, financial performance, interaction with staff and continuous advancement toward long-term goals.

“We are extremely proud of Mark and his team. They are committed to providing the highest quality care in a safe, effective and efficient manner,” said Karla Perez, Vice President of the UHS Acute Care Division. “His accomplishments are worthy of recognition.”

Crawford has served as CEO of Northern Nevada Medical Center for almost four years. During this time, NNMC has launched a number of new programs and services including the Northern Nevada Medical Group, Inpatient RehabCenter, Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Center, and Heart and Vascular Institute. Under Crawford’s leadership, NNMC recently received formal Chest Pain Center Accreditation from the Society of Chest Pain Centers, and  remains the first and only hospital in Nevada performing MAKOplasty® robotics-assisted partial knee resurfacing.
