Support area veterans by donating much needed funds
News Talk 780 KOH will broadcast live from the Atlantis Casino Resort in Reno for the Veterans Guest House eighth annual Radiothon on Saturday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Show your support for this one-of-a-kind home, which provides temporary housing for veterans and their families while undergoing medical treatment in the area.
The event is an opportunity for the Guest House to share its story with the community and raise funds for the daily needs of visiting veterans and their families. To donate, call (775) 335-4621 any time from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 5 or make a donation online at www.veteransguesthouse.org. Auction items will also be available throughout the day and all proceeds will benefit the Guest House. The Guest House is hoping to raise $45,000 during the eighth annual Radiothon.
In-person donations are also welcome. The community is invited to the Atlantis to either make a donation in the atrium or drive up to the rotunda in the parking lot on the west side of S. Virginia Street and place their donation in the military boot. Military vehicles will be on display in the rotunda.
The Guest House does not receive any government funding for their day-to-day operations and rely on donations from the community.
