Gastroenterology Consultants, Ltd., announced today that John F. Gray, MD, FACG, AGAF, and Craig M. Sande, MD, FACG, AGAF, have been named Fellows of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), the nation’s oldest medical society dedicated to disorders of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Through the fellowship program, the AGA honors superior professional achievement in clinical private or academic practice and in basic or clinical research. “We are pleased to announce the most recent inductees for the AGA Fellowship program,” said Ian L. Taylor, MD, PhD, AGAF, AGA Institute President. “AGA Fellowship is an honor bestowed to members who have been recognized by their peers and community for superior professional achievement in practice and/or research in the field of gastroenterology.”
”The past 25 years of practice in Reno have been incredibly rewarding, participating in the major advances in the scope and quality of digestive health care in our region,” says Dr. John Gray, founder of Gastroenterology Consultants, Ltd. “The important work that we are now doing statewide in the Nevada Colon Cancer Partnership is particularly special as we have the opportunity to save the lives of so many Nevadans and move our state from the bottom to the top of the list of the 50 states with the best colon cancer screening rates.” Dr. Gray is also President of the Nevada Colon Cancer Partnership.
Dr. Craig Sande adds that he is humbled and honored to have been awarded Fellowship status in the American Gastroenterological Association and will now proudly display the letters “AGAF” following his name. “It has been exciting to participate in the rapidly advancing field of gastroenterology since returning to my hometown of Reno in 1990 and I look forward to the opportunity to serve our residents for many years to come.” Dr. Craig Sande is President and CEO of Gastroenterology Consultants, Ltd.
