SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

Hindu leader Rajan Zed opened fundraising art auction with Gayatri Mantra, most sacred mantra of Hinduism, in Reno for choreographer Dr. L. Martina Young’s hip surgery.

Organized by Bone on Bone Project Coalition, Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, also read from ancient Hindu scriptures Rig-Veda, Upanishads and Bhagavad-Gita (Song of the Lord) on the occasion at Classic Residence.

The event also marked the first anniversary of the Coalition. Guitarist Jim Eaglesmith and songstress Kate Cotter provided entertainment on the occasion.

This Reno based Coalition, which aims to support artists without healthcare, “is a group of artists accessing creative measures to address the human needs of health care”. This Project was inspired by the Dr. Young’s life and work. The name Bone on Bone referred to Young’s discovery that both her hip joints were bone on bone.
