The challenges faced by Nevadans with developmental disabilities seeking employment will be the focus of three regional summits across Nevada. The first of the series of two-day summits begins tomorrow in Reno.
WHAT: Employment Policy Summit hosted by the Nevada Center for Excellence in Disability, part of the University of Nevada, Reno’s College of Education.
WHO: Business and community leaders, elected officials, people with disabilities and others.
WHEN: May 25, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and May 26, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
WHERE: Joe Crowley Student Union on the University of Nevada, Reno campus.
LAS VEGAS AND ELKO EVENTS: A southern Nevada summit will be in Las Vegas at Opportunity Village, The Engelstad Family Campus at 6050 South Buffalo Road, on June 8-9 and a northeastern Nevada summit will be in Elko at Great Basin College on June 15-16.
