Opinion: Rory Reid to release education reform plan next week

On Monday, March 22, gubernatorial candidate Rory Reid will release his plan for education reform in Nevada.

The current state of our education system is unacceptable, and we are losing ground every day. Rory’s plan will fundamentally change how we approach our schools in Nevada, increasing accountability, giving teachers the freedom to teach and principals the tools to lead, while creating vibrant learning environments.

Reid believes that transforming our education system is essential to building a strong economy in Nevada. We need to attract dynamic new businesses to our state–but they won’t come if we do not have quality schools for children and the ability to educate the workforce needed for 21st century jobs.

Rory Reid is the only candidate for governor to offer solutions for today and a vision for Nevada’s future success. For more information about Rory’s campaign or to download his plan–“The Virtual Crossroads: Rory Reid’s Vision for the Future of Nevada”–visit RoryReid.com.

  1. It’s about time someone addressed education in this state. Gibbons has screwed the pooch and I don’t much trust Sandoval to do better. All they want to do is cut money out.

Hopefully Rory can come up with something substantial. Not just throw money at the problem, but a really comprehensive plan.
