University’s Joe Crowley Student Union food vendors are all moved in

block_n-8124549-9865298Community members are invited to “Taste of the Joe,” a free food tasting and celebration at the University’s Joe Crowley Student Union on Saturday, Sept.19, starting at 7 p.m.

“We are happy to offer such a variety of quality foods at our student union here at the University of Nevada, Reno,” said Chuck Price, the union’s director. “We think our food vendors are a great match for our students as well as the community. We would like to invite everyone to join us in sampling all of these top-notch food and beverage choices.”

What: The “Taste of the Joe,” free food samples from all eight of the Joe Crowley Student Union food vendors, including Cantina del Lobo, Keva Juice, Panda Express, Port of Subs, Spudistro, Starbucks, Tahoe Creamery, and Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen.

Other free activities include entertainment by Woody the Clown, Ariel the Fortune Teller, Bob the Caricature Artist, an old-time photo booth with props and costumes, a free drawing for Nevada Basketball season tickets and a live radio broadcast with 93.7 Bob FM.

Who: The University of Nevada, Reno Joe Crowley Student Union and its vendors

When: Saturday, Sept. 19. Doors open and food sampling begins at 7 p.m. “The Incredibles” will be showing in the Theater at 8 p.m. Cantina del Lobo will have live music at 9 p.m. Drawing for Nevada Basketball season tickets will be at 10:30 p.m.

Where: The Joe Crowley Student Union is located at the University of Nevada, Reno on North Virginia Street and 15th Street. Parking is free in the West Stadium Garage and the open meter lots in front of the building.
