SEN. HARRY REID NEWS RELEASE:
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Nevada Senators Harry Reid and John Ensign today announced more than $5 million from the Federal Aviation Administration for noise reduction measures for area homeowners.
“This is funding that creates jobs at one of the biggest airports in our state while improving the quality of life for those who call Reno home,” Reid said.
“As a leading tourist destination, Nevada airports receive a large amount of air traffic,” said Ensign. “It’s important that we ensure that our airports are not negatively affecting the quality of life for those who live in surrounding neighborhoods, and these funds will help to mitigate their noise.”
