The fourth annual Lion Heart Art Show will take place Friday, February 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Riverside Studios, in the heart of Downtown Truckee. Local artists will be using 12×12 panels of wood to create artwork using any medium they choose. Once the panels are complete, they will be displayed at Riverside Studios.

“This is a truly unique and special format for an art show,” said Rene Kaldonski of Riverside Studios. Panels will be available for purchase for $100 at the end of the evening on a first come, first served basis, with all proceeds benefiting the CR Johnson Healing Center, also located in Truckee.

The Healing Center is a program service of the High Fives Foundation that provides resources for athletes in recovery from sport related injuries. Resources include: physical therapy, pilates, massage, personal training and more. Not only does purchasing art benefit a great cause, it gives locals and tourists alike an opportunity to learn more about the High Fives Foundation and the resources they provide.

“The Lion Heart Art Show is one of our favorite events of the year,” said Kahlil Johnson, Co-Owner of Riverside Studios in downtown Truckee. “It is such a great and fun way to gather the Truckee-Tahoe Community to celebrate amazing art, while raising money for a cause that is near and dear to all of us– the CR Johnson Healing Center.”
