Washoe County Sheriff Mike Haley today endorsed Judge Scott Freeman in his race for Washoe County District Court Judge.
“Judge Freeman has already proven to be an excellent addition to the Washoe County bench,” Haley said. “His extensive criminal and civil trial experience, along with his dedication to Washoe County through community service, makes Scott an asset to our judicial system.”
In addition to Haley’s endorsement, the Peace Officers Research Association of Nevada and the Nevada State Law Enforcement Officers’ Association support and endorse Freeman.
“It is a tremendous honor for Sheriff Haley to endorse my campaign to be retained as Washoe County District Court Judge,” said Freeman. “I will continue to work hard daily to fulfill my supporters’ expectations and Governor Sandoval’s confidence in me.”
Governor Brian Sandoval appointed Freeman to the Second Judicial District Court on March 26. Freeman has practiced law in Nevada for more than 28 years.
