County Medical Examiner’s Office completes identification

The Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office has completed scientific identification and notification to family members of another victim from Friday’s incident at the Reno Championship Air Races.

This is the 11th victim positively identified out of the 11 deceased victims. The identified victim is:

• James McMichael – 47-year-old male – place of residence Graham, Washington

See below for a list of previously identified victims.

Since Friday’s incident the Family Assistance Call Center has received more than 1,400 calls from individuals concerned about family members or loved ones. The Family Assistance Call Center, detectives and staff members are in the process of recontacting all the callers to reconcile records ensuring there are not any outstanding missing people and family members have been reconnected. At this time, there are fewer than 400 calls that still need to be reconciled.

If anyone contacted the Family Assistance Call Center and has since connected with their family member or has received a message from the Call Center but not yet returned the call, please contact Nevada 211 from within Nevada, or 775.784.8090 from outside the state.

• John Craik – 45-year-old male – place of residence Gardnerville
• Cheryl Elvin – 71-year-old female – place of residence Lenexa, Kan.
• George Hewitt – 60-year-old male – place of residence Mohave, Ariz. (formerly of Bellingham, Wash.)
• Wendy Hewitt – 56-year-old female – place of residence Mohave, Ariz. (formerly from Bellingham, Wash.)
• James Leeward – 74-year-old male – place of residence Ocala, Fla.
• Gregory Morcom – 47-year-old male – place of residence Stanwood, Wash.
• Craig Salerno – 50-year-old male – place of residence Friendswood, Texas
• Sharon Stewart – 47-year-old female – place of residence Reno
• Michael Wogan – 22-year-old male – place of residence Scottsdale, Ariz.
