Honor. Inspire. Celebrate. Three words that paired together weave a nearly 60-year saga of history, heritage and preservation. Of daring, imagination and wonder. Of memories made, traditions formed and legends created. The STIHL National Championship Air Races is a one-of-a-kind event, right here in our backyard, that continues to honor our military, inspire our youth and celebrate the fastest motorsport in the world.

The one-of-a-kind event attracts visitors from all over the world due to its diverse program and stunning scenery. Set just 20 minutes northwest of downtown Reno nestled against the Sierra Nevada mountains, this year’s “Reno Air Races,” will return Sept. 11-15, 2019.

The 2019 event slate features top-notch entertainment, heart-pounding aerobatics and what promises to be one of its most competitive and high-profile racing fields in recent memory. Attendees will be treated to a rare performance by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, world-renowned aerobatic pilot Rob Holland, Lucas Oil Airshows pilot Michael Wiskus, the Commemorative Air Force, STOL drag racing demonstration and an F-18 Legacy Flight.

In addition to the action in the sky the event will host an impressive variety of exhibits and activities including the GRADD-NVBAA STEM Discover Zone and the National Aviation Heritage Invitational.

It’s a one-of-a-kind thrill that has to be seen, heard and felt to believe. Six races classes will compete head-to-head at speeds often exceeding 500 mph. A variety of ticket options are available including box seats which offer the opportunity for businesses to bring their employees together for team bonding or treat a client to a one-of-a-kind experience.

The STIHL National Championship Air Races is proud to be a part of the Northern Nevada community and honored to provide the region’s schools with free field trips to the GRADD-NVBAA STEM Discovery Zone, and participate in some of the area’s events including the Reno Aces on Aug. 25 and the Reno Rodeo June 20–29.

Individual tickets and box seats for the 2019 STIHL National Championship Air Races set for Sept. 11–15 are on sale now. B Row Box Seats are available with a special discounted rate. Reserve 10 seats for the entire week and get entry into the event, flight line seating, pit passes for each person in the box and parking passes. Purchase box seats by emailing Betty Koch at [email protected].
