SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

2010-holiday-wassail-9064019-6418404Shopping and drinking great beer just got easier thanks to the Great Basin Brewing Co. and its 11th bottling of the traditional Red Nose Holiday Wassail. This winter warmer is available in a 22-ounce bottle regaled with red and green ribbons, and a short history of holiday Wassailing. The bottles make a perfect “made in Nevada” gift for friends, neighbors, business associates — or yourself — after a busy day wrestling with the Christmas decorations.

Brew master Tom Young also returns a sweet toothed favorite this year, Great Basin Beer Brittle, chock full of almonds and made with 2010 Red Nose Holiday Ale.

“There is nothing more sublime than beer with candy,” Young said.

The $9 gift bottles are each signed and numbered by the brew master and limited to a run of just 500. The perfect, stocking stuffer-sized Beer Brittle is just $5.

This year’s Wassail is accented by cinnamon, orange peel, cloves, vanilla and Nevada honey, a rich brew worthy of a toast to the New Year! A.B. V. is 6.9%. Beer brittle is available in six-ounce packages and made with our Red Nose Holiday Ale, almonds and sprinkling of malted cinnamon barley powder.

Great Basin Brewing Co. has a full selection of fine brewery swag for that special someone, or you, and there are still a few dates available for your Christmas or New Year’s functions.
