While the Davis Fire rages on, the Reno community is rallying around its residents and first responders with discounts on meals, free coffee and other items. Read on for a round-up of where you can seek reprieve from evacuation orders or information on how you can support the efforts.

Several restaurants have teamed up to offer a fire relief fundraiser. Liberty Food & Wine Exchange, Overland Restaurant & Pub, Cucina Lupo and Great Basin Brewing Company (all under the Local Food Group umbrella headed by Mark Estee) are donating a portion of their proceeds from Thursday, Sept. 12 to the Washoe County Davis Creek Fire Emergency Assistance Fund and the Support the Teeter Family fund (Stephanie Teeter was previously a chef at Liberty Exchange and her family lost their home in the fire).

For those displaced by the fires, consider one of the following discounted options.

The Cheeseboard on Wedge Parkway announced a 20% discount to all first responders and people without power. They will remain open as long as evacuation orders allow.

Edelweiss at the Shayden Summit is offering half-off pizzas and Chop Stop is providing free meals to those affected.

Through 9/13, Madein is offering 20% off to anyone evacuated.

Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream is giving out free small cones or dishes to first responders and evacuees.

R Town Pizza wrote on social media that they would give a slice of pizza, salad and soda to anyone affected, no questions asked. Simply stop by the restaurant to enjoy.

Mothers of Macros is offering free meals to those affected by the fire at their café.

Pizzava is extending a free meal to both firefighters battling the flames and to anyone that has been evacuated.

If you are a first responder, you can take advantage of free donuts and coffee from DoughBoys Donuts for the entirety of the week.

Hub Coffee Roasters, Granite Street Café, Madein, Old World Coffee Lab and Rising for People Coffee have announced free drip coffee for first responders attending to the Davis Fire. Stella Coffee Company is offering free drip, cold brew or iced tea to both first responders and evacuees, and Old World Coffee Lab is extending their offer to evacuees, as well.

10 Torr posted about their ongoing First Responders Monday when all first responders receive 20% off of their orders.
