Local creative agency NEON, in partnership with the Nevada Department of Agriculture, launched the Meet Your Farmer campaign where 10 local farmers were paired with 10 local restaurants for September.

Beginning at the Great Basin Food Co-op, NEON Agency has now expanded the project into local restaurants. While enjoying a meal, coffee, or ice cream, you could watch a video about where your food comes from via Instagram using unique hashtags or by following @meetyourfarmernevada.

The first-of-its-kind Meet Your Farmer project is an easy way for folks to ‘meet their farmer’ on social media. In compelling short films, farmers tell their story at their own farm in a quick and easily absorbable way. The project is designed to connect the consumer and the farmer instantly … Using Meet Your Farmer you can now see where your produce is coming from, how it was grown and by whom.

We would like to quantify what kind of impact, if any, the project had on its viewers. That’s where you come in: Please watch one or more of the videos on the Meet Your Farmer Instagram page and then fill out this really short survey with your thoughts:

For those who fill out the survey, gift certificates at the following participating restaurants below are being given away as prize drawings:

  • Coffeebar
  • Liberty Food & Wine
  • Union
  • Chez Louie
  • Thali
  • The DeLuxe
  • Icecycle Creamery
  • Homegrown Gastropub
