Pops on the River Opens Ticket Sales for 24th Annual Event
Event Organizers Welcome Craig Meyer as (Almost) Elton John
Ticket and table sponsorship sales for Pops on the River, an Artown concert event and fundraiser for the Reno Phil, are now available for online purchase.
Headlining the 2018 event is Craig Meyer, performing chart-topping songs by the legendary Sir Elton John alongside music director Laura Jackson and the Reno Phil Orchestra. Meyer, a talented artist whose strong vocals, striking resemblance to Elton John and talent on the piano, embodies the character during the tribute performance with charisma and intriguing costume changes.
“Craig is a phenomenal showman who has worked in all four corners of the entertainment industry, including theatre, film, television and music,” said Tim Young, president and CEO of Reno Phil. “He is considered to be one of the best Elton John tribute artists in the country, and we hope his lively performance will have attendees singing and dancing to the music while remembering when rock was young.”
Pops on the River, “Remember When Rock Was Young, The Elton John Tribute,” will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Wingfield Park. Guests can expect to hear hits like “Benny and the Jets,” “Philadelphia Freedom,” “Candle in the Wind,” “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” and many more.
General Admission tickets are $20, individual tickets at a table of 10 start at $55; and tables of 10 start at $500. Tickets will be available at renophil.com or by calling (775) 323-6393.
