The Generator maker space in Sparks transforms into a unique underground marketplace this weekend. The inaugural Punk Rock Flea Market is Saturday Feb. 10 and Sunday Feb. 11 at The Generator, located at 1240 Icehouse Avenue. Tickets are $5 for one-day admission or $10 for both days and are available for purchase on Eventbrite.

The market opens at noon both days, with Saturday’s events ending at 9 p.m. and Sunday’s events wrapping at 6 p.m.

Attendees can expect to see performances from 18 local bands such as: Reno, We Have a Problem; John Underwood & His Horny Friends; Ravished; and Infecto Skeletons. A full lineup is available on the Facebook event page. Vendors will sell jewelry, magazines, posters, and other underground memorabilia. In addition, the event features a clothing exchange pile and an opportunity to lay a sledgehammer against an old car, which organizers describe as “some strange interpretation of performance art.”

According to organizers, proceeds from the event will fund The Generator’s new low-income membership program. For more information on The Generator, visit online at https://www.therenogenerator.com.
