Noble Pie Parlor owners Trevor Leppek and Ryan Goldhammer had plans to expand to a Midtown location, but needed a loan to purchase their equipment. After only being offered a high interest credit card by a large national bank, Leppek was referred to United Federal Credit Union by one of the bank’s employees.

“UFCU has been a key partner in financing business needs for us. This equipment loan has helped furnish our newest venture Noble Pie Parlor Midtown with almost 100% of all the equipment we need,” Leppek said. “Any encounter I have had from tellers, to loan officers, to branch managers and regional managers has been very stress free. Everyone is very helpful and I feel like there is just a bit more of a laid back approach while still maintaining the utmost professionalism. The staff almost makes banking fun!”

United Federal Credit Union’s ability to personalize service for individuals and business owners is what sets them apart from bigger banks in Nevada. Leppek has also moved many of his personal accounts to UFCU because of the outstanding Member experience.

“Expect to be taken care of every step along the way. I now have a home equity line of credit, which then evolved into a mortgage refinance, then to a business credit card, the equipment loan, and a car loan for my fiancé,” said Leppek. “It isn’t just about banking for UFCU, it is about building relationships in the community and helping to garner its growth. I am proud to be United because of how they treat every customer like family and will do their best to help no matter what situation you may be in.”

UFCU’s Nevada Market Vice President Danny DeLaRosa says Noble Pie’s story is one UFCU is familiar with, and believes United’s commitment to understanding its Members’ financial goals is what sets the credit union apart from others in the Northern Nevada market.

“We like to build a relationship with our Members,” said DeLaRosa. “We know a lot of things have happened in this local economy, and it was a very difficult time for some people. At United Federal Credit Union, we don’t look at only one instance in someone’s life, but rather who they are across the board. We look at their past, where they are currently, and their goals for the future, and UFCU is dedicated to helping them attain those goals.”

United Federal Credit Union has six branches in the Reno-Sparks community and recently opened a branch on East William Street in Carson City. A second branch in Carson City is scheduled to open later in 2016.
