On Sunday, February 14, 2016, at 12 pm, the Crisis Call Center’s Sexual Assault Support Services Program will be joining with community leadership and activists around the world for the One Billion Rising Women’s Rally.

This rally will highlight the issues of gender disparity, and the campaign seeks to build upon the momentum from previous campaigns when one billion activists in 207 countries and territories came together to demand an end to violence against women and girls.

Community groups attending include the Nevada Attorney General’s Office Domestic Violence Ombudsman, Safe Embrace, the Washoe Tribe, Carson City Sheriff’s Office and the Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technology.

The rally will be on the East ReTrack Platform, next to the historic Reno Arch at 236 North Virginia Street.
