BI Neutraceuticals has announced the opening of a manufacturing and distribution plant in Storey County.
The company has the potential to bring up to 120 jobs to the Northern Nevada region and will be operational by the end of December 2015, with $3 million being invested in the 140,000 square foot facility.
The company sells powers, teas, vitamins and extracts.
“Lower operating costs and a business-friendly environment were key factors in our decision to move to Northern Nevada. The new facility in Tahoe Reno Industrial Center also allows us to be strategically located to better meet the demands of our West Coast customers and help us to grow our business,” said George Pontiakos, president and CEO of BI Nutraceuticals.
“We are thrilled to welcome BI Nutraceuticals and their decision to expand here. Companies like this, with such an extensive history in their business field combined with their national and international presence, serve to remind us all that announcements like this are the ultimate ‘everyone wins scenario.’ It is truly a great day for BI Nutraceuticals, Storey County, the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center, our entire Reno-Tahoe Region and the Great State of Nevada,” said Marshall McBride, Storey County Commission Chairman.
