The Smile Shop Pediatric Dentistry, a locally owned practice in northern Nevada, has brought on two new doctors, Dr. Katie Foster and Dr. Whitney Garol.
Dr. Katie Foster attended Reed High School, then California Lutheran University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.
Dr. Foster received her dental degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she realized her passion for working with and treating children. Following her dental training, Dr. Foster pursued her pediatric residency at Baylor College of Dentistry in association with the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. There, she gained extensive knowledge in dental emergencies and the skills necessary to care for special needs and medically compromised patients.
Dr. Whitney Garol attended Galena High School, then the University of Nevada, Reno where she graduated with distinction, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a minor in psychology.
Dr. Garol graduated magna cum laude with a doctor of dental medicine degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. Always having a passion for treating children, she decided to further her training with a pediatric dental residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. At one of the premier children’s hospitals in the nation, she received extensive training to provide excellent dental care to infants, children and adolescents.
Both are board candidates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and active members of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Drs. Michael Stoker, Richard Adams, Nicole Stoker and Melissa McCool welcome the new doctors to the practice.
