unnamed-300x86-2829499-4731364On Tuesday morning, February 24, 2015 Reno Police Officers responded to the Everybody’s Inn Motel, located at 1756 E 4th Street in Reno, on the report of a commercial burglary of electrical wire.

NV Energy responded and it was determined that power could not safely be turned back on to the motel due to the extent of the damage. City of Reno Code Enforcement Officials also responded to evaluate the motel, and it was deemed the entire motel was uninhabitable by the approximate 20 to 40 occupants.

The Reno Police Department Community Action Officers (CAO) reached out to local resources, which included the Northern Nevada Catholic Charities, Red Cross and the Departments Mobile Outreach Safety Team (MOST), who were able to find new housing for all the occupants of the motel.

The Reno Police Department continually works with Code Enforcement, and local organizations to ensure the citizens of Reno get the services they need when affected by events such as this.
