This month’s seminar is on the topic of exercise and will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, at Sparks Medical Office Building, 2385 E. Prater Way, Suite 201, on the NNMC campus.

David Achibowski of InnerThin Health and Wellness will be discussing motivation and exercise and its role in the prevention and management of diabetes. More than 23 million people in the U.S. have diabetes, and proper exercise is critical when it comes to diabetes.

Healthy snacks are included. Registration is required. Call 775-352-5353 to RSVP.

The NNMC Wound Care Center introduced the region’s first physician-supervised hyperbaric oxygen therapy in 2008, a technology that has a nearly 90 percent effectiveness in treatment of hypoxic wounds and necrotizing soft tissue infections. The Wound Care Center has been recognized with the Healogics Center of Distinction Award for Quality Patient Care and Center of Excellence Award for outstanding patient outcomes.
