The Nevada Sagebrush Alumni Chapter is going to host a benefit dinner at Louis’ Basque Corner to raise money for the current staff of The Nevada Sagebrush, the student newspaper at the University of Nevada, Reno. Doors open at 6 p.m. Oct. 3. The proceeds will be used to send current staff members of the student newspaper to the Associated Collegiate Press conference in Chicago Oct. 31-Nov. 4. It will give aspiring journalists a chance to compete with student newspapers from around the country and learn from journalism professionals while networking with 2,000-plus college journalists and advisers.
The dinner costs $50 per person. Price includes a delicious Basque dinner and wine. Tickets will be available for raffle prizes, too. Nevada Sagebrush alumni, family, friends and supporters are invited to this dinner.

The Nevada Sagebrush Alumni Chapter exists to provide an outlet for former members of The Nevada Sagebrush to socialize and create an ongoing network for current and former members of the student newspaper at the University of Nevada, Reno. The organization stands to preserve the history and excellence of The Nevada Sagebrush. Moreover, the group exists to provide professional advice to current staff members of The Nevada Sagebrush while hosting annual or semi-annual fundraising opportunities to directly aid the betterment of The Nevada Sagebrush and the professional development of its staff.
