CITY OF RENO NEWS RELEASE
The Reno Fire Department and the Reno Bike Project, a non-profit community bicycle shop and advocacy group, are partnering together to make donating bicycles more convenient for the community.
In addition to donating at the Reno Bike Project, bicycles can now be dropped off at any Reno Fire Department station between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Any bike or bike parts will be accepted so the Reno Bike Project can then refurbish, sell, strip for good parts and recycle, give away or make available to the public.
“The central location of neighborhood fire stations make for convenient drop-off locations,” advised Noah Silverman, Reno Bike Project executive director. “We are excited to partner with the Reno Fire Department to help further our mission of making cycling more accessible through recycling and recirculation of used bikes into the community at affordable prices.”
