SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

Free beverages for all community members; Free meals to media; Fundraiser plans underway

In response to the devastating Caughlin Ranch Fire, both Reno locations of the Squeeze In are serving complimentary refillable beverages all day today, Friday, November 18, to all guests.

“Restaurants tend to be a community hub in emergency situations, and the Squeeze In is already providing comfort and a place for warmth and gathering during this emergency,” owner Shila Morris said. “This is my hometown. I was born and raised here, graduated from Nevada and I’m raising my kids here. Our family wants to assist in any way we can and the first thing our family talked about this morning is how we’ll put together a fundraiser. We love Reno!”

Members of the news media are also invited to eat free today, either to-go orders or in house, no restrictions.

“We understand the intense demands on media during emergencies such as the Caughlin Fire,” Squeeze In owner Shila Morris said. “Everyone depends on continuous updates from the media, we need information and you need nourishment. We’re here to help.”

Additionally, the Squeeze In is already planning a fundraiser to be held at the south Reno Squeeze In location, the date and time will be determined once the Caughlin Fire has been put out.

“This is our community. These are our neighbors, our friends, our guests. We’re here to serve,” Morris added.
