Former Gov. Jim Gibbons visited the University of Phoenix Political Science/State and Local Political Processes course at the Northern Nevada campus of the University of Phoenix Feb. 3.
Gibbons was the featured guest speaker in faculty member Lisa Krasner’s classroom, discussing his background and many years in politics. He also spoke of his 10 years of service in the U.S. Congress and his four years as Governor of the State of Nevada. He discussed how federal, state and local government all work together, or not. He answered students’ questions at the end of the hour-long presentation and offered insight into a variety of state issues and topics.
