PAHRUMP, Nev. – Nevada Sen. Harry Reid received key endorsements in Pahrump Monday during stops here by his “Driving Nevada Forward” bus tour. While in Pahrump, Reid visited the firehouse and the headquarters of the International Association of Fire Fighters. Reid’s tour kicked off in his hometown of Searchlight Monday morning.
In Pahrump, Sen. Reid was proud to receive the endorsements of numerous first-responder groups for his tireless advocacy and unparalleled record of delivering on behalf of those who are on the front lines of protecting Nevadans everyday. Representatives from the following groups thanked Sen. Reid for his work and made public their endorsements on behalf of their organizations:
- Southern Nevada Conference of Police and Sheriffs
- Police Protective Association, Metro
- Police Protective Association, Metro Civilian Employees
- Peace Officers Research Association of Nevada
- Professional Firefighters of Nevada
“Sen. Reid has long been a champion of the needs of Nevada’s first-responders, and we are proud to endorse him for his outstanding leadership on our issues,” Pahrump firefighter Tim Murray said. “With budgets tight in these tough economic times, no one has done more for us here in Nevada than Sen. Reid.”
Following the events in Pahrump, Sen. Reid boarded the “Driving Nevada Forward” bus with supporters en route to Las Vegas, where he concluded the day with a rally where more than 1,500 supporters were expected to be in attendance.
