Join the Veterans Guest House in celebrating 15 years of caring for veterans and their families at a United Service Organization-themed celebration on Friday, Nov. 13, at 6 p.m. at the National Automobile Museum.
Tickets for the celebration are $45 and include a traditional USO meal of sliders, hot dogs and chili. There will be a full evening of entertainment from Tom Delaney’s band with music from all eras, fabulous solo singer Jackie Landrum, ballroom dancers and comedienne Kat Simmons. Emcees for the evening will be Monica Jaye and Dan Mason from News Talk 780 KOH.
At the end of the evening, the lucky $10,000 winner of the Salute & Support raffle will be announced. Raffle tickets may still be purchased until Nov. 13 for $100 each. To purchase raffle and USO tickets call 775-324-6958. Please RSVP by Nov. 10.
The Veterans Guest House provides United States military service veterans and their families temporary overnight accommodations when receiving treatment at a medical facility in the Reno/Sparks area. It also accommodates veterans traveling to Reno for outpatient medical care. The majority of guests receive treatment at the Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC). The VAMC covers 100,000 square miles from Bishop to Auburn, Elko and Ely. The Veterans Guest House is located at 880 Locust Street in Reno.
