PHOTO GALLERY: What’s New This Week in Reno Arts

Date:

Weekly Art Fix September 15

Over the weekend I was very lucky to see Picasso at the Lapin Agile at the Reno Little Theater. This was quite the wild ride of intellect, passion, art, wit, drama, and absurdity.

Taking place in a turn of the century French bar; where Albert Einstein has a chance meeting with Pablo Picasso and a few other bar patrons. This play was written by Steve Martin and is directed by Chad Sweet. This has also started Reno Little Theater’s 81st season.

As you may imagine the dialog and witty banter is truly wonderful and at times quite enlightening. With a simple set and outstanding acting this play comes alive and drew me into the story. When you see this, you may walk away asking the question “what if they had met in that bar in 1904?” What influences would they have had for each other?

With shows through October 4 there will be plenty of time for you to catch this wonderful play. Here is a link to their website; renolittletheater.org

I have also included a few photos for you to enjoy.
