YERINGTON — Get a taste of Yerington at the Yerington Farmers Market this summer! The 2nd annual Yerington farmers market takes place each Friday from 4pm-7pm. This year it is conveniently located at 215 Goldfield Avenue in Yerington (across from Subway and Maverick).
In addition to opportunities to taste and purchase a wide range of fresh, local produce, there will be opportunities to try Yerington farmers’ honey, jerky, free-range eggs and more.
Farmers’ market organizer and Yerington resident Donna McDonald explained, “There are no booth fees for farmers. The purpose of this market is to support this region’s fantastic growers and to give residents one more way to buy fresh and local.”
The Yerington Farmers Market is made possible with partnerships among regional farmers, and the nonprofits Active Neighborhoods, Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey, and Community Roots.
