Washoe County School District officials said that they want to hear from the community about new math materials for K-5 students. They’re asking the public to review and comment on the materials they are considering for use in schools. These materials are available online, and feedback may be submitted until October 27.

Kindra Fox, who oversees secondary curriculum and instruction for WCSD, said, “We really value public input as we evaluate potential new materials for our schools.”

She said community feedback is important in making decisions. All comments will be forwarded to the school board of trustees as part of their recommendations later this year.

To review the materials, visit www.washoeschools.net/Page/17609. The school board will discuss the adoption of these materials in an upcoming public meeting.
