Free veterans appreciation breakfast set for Saturday

A free pancake breakfast is scheduled in Sun Valley this weekend to coincide with Veterans Day.

Washoe County Human Services Agency and the Sun Valley General Improvement District hold the veterans appreciation breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 9 at the Sun Valley Neighborhood Center, 115 W. Sixth Avenue.

Breakfast will follow opening ceremonies, which consist of a Boy Scout Color Guard, elected officials and various organizations that support military and veterans groups.

According to Washoe County and Sun Valley GID, all veterans, active and non-active military, along with the general public, are invited.
