Reno’s Eddy House, which serves homeless youth, is gearing up for a major expansion. In this video, new CEO Diaz Dixon explains what the change means for funding needs and expanded services.
“At this point, we are looking to raise another $215,000 to close out the matching funds,” Dixon said. “We will have the capacity to serve the community with 50 new beds (now we have none for this particular population).
“Expanded services will reach an additional 30 percent of our population. We will serve over 600 this year, and next year we expect to be in excess of 800.”
