The Reno City Council on Monday, September 23, 2019, approved in a 4-3 vote the massive Daybreak development in south Reno. A number of concessions were made by Newport Pacific Land Company to reduce the impact of the development, including — at the last minute — reducing the number of residences from 4,700 to 3,995.

In this video, developer Chris Bley talks about the project, and critic Steve Wolgast gives his perspective on the city council’s approval.
