Labor Day weekend is just behind us, but Sparks is already trying to get people to think about Christmas.
Early entries for the 33rd annual Sparks Hometowne Christmas Parade end today. Prices increase in tiers after then.
The parade is scheduled from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 7 in Victorian Square along Victorian Avenue. This year’s theme is Christmas around the world. A tree lighting ceremony is at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6 in the same location.
Fee structures for parade entries are as follows:
- Early registration until Sept. 3 is $35
- Regular registration Sept. 4 – Nov. 12 is $40
- Late registration Nov. 13 – Nov. 17 is $60
- Past deadline registration Nov. 18 – Nov. 20 is $100
The city of Sparks is encouraging entrants to get their applications in soon because the event is subject to selling out.
