Free Movies Being Shown Outdoors this Summer at UNR

“John Wick: Chapter 3 Parabellum” plays July 23.

A series of movies released earlier this year are scheduled to show at 9 p.m. Tuesdays this summer at the University of Nevada, Reno on the Joe Crowley Student Union lawn.

Admission is free, and free popcorn and beverages will be provided.

Attendees are asked to bring a towel, blanket, or low-back chair.

The following is a list of films, which is subject to change:

° June 11 – “Captain Marvel,” PG13; Earth gets caught in the middle of a war between two alien races

° June 18 – “Long Shot,” R; a journalist reunites with his childhood crush who is running for president and gets hired as her speech writer

° June 25 – “Dumbo,” PG; an elephant helps save a struggling circus

° July 2 – “Shazam!,” PG13; by shouting one word, a teen in foster care turns into a grown-up superhero

° July 9 – “Little,” PG13; a woman becomes her younger self when pressures of adulthood mount

° July 16 – “Penguins,” G; a penguin in Antarctica goes on a quest to build a nest, find a partner, and start a family

° July 23 – “John Wick: Chapter 3 Parabellum,” R; a man is on the run after killing a member of an international assassin’s guild

° July 30 – “The Hustle,” PG13; two female scam artists with different personalities team up to take down the men who’ve wronged them

° Aug. 6 – “Avengers: End Game,” PG13; the universe is in ruins and with the help of remaining allies, the Avengers assemble to restore order

° Aug. 13 – “Aladdin,” PG; a kind street urchin and power-hungry Grand Vizier vie for a lamp that has the power to make their wishes come true
