Guests of Bowers Mansion regional park had the opportunity this weekend to learn everything from how to load a Civil War cannon down to the nuances of Civil War-era musical instruments. A Civil War reenactment allowed people of all ages asked reenactors questions. Audience members listened to various Civil War stories and the role Nevada played during the war.

A civil war reenactment, of course, would not be complete without a mock battle. Union soldiers won the day, despite taking a few losses during the battle. Attendees applauded the reenactors and took the opportunity to photograph the actors at work.

Bowers Mansion will also be hosting musical and educational Programs on the Porch. Details can be found on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pg/BowersMansionRegionalPark/events/?ref=page_internal
