Virginia Street in Midtown is going back to one way southbound, between Center and Vassar streets, starting April 1, 2019. The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County announced today that utility work will cause the closure for three weeks.

Utility companies had to connect utilities so that storm drain work could begin prior to phase one of street construction to start. This next construction phase is scheduled for June or July.

Utility connections will continue in the meantime.

CORRECTION: Per RTC, the closure is only through a portion of midtown, not all of midtown as originally reported.
