“Make, create, craft, build, hack, DIY, recycle, think, play and be inspired by celebrating arts, crafts, engineering, food, music, science and technology.” That’s the motto of Reno’s annual Mini Maker Faire.

Held yesterday at Wingfield Park downtown, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the family friendly event showcased inventions and creativity.

“It’s a place where makers –- tech enthusiasts, artists, homesteaders, scientists, student clubs, and everyone in between — show what they are making and share what they are learning,” organizers said. “This community-based learning event inspires everyone to become a maker and connect with other people and projects in our region. It emphasizes exploration, innovation, creativity and the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) and Do-It-Together (DIT) cultures.”

The event featured music, arts and crafts, urban farming and do-it-yourself science. Check out the photos below.
