Grow with Google comes to Reno on Aug. 6 as part of Google’s initiative to help create economic opportunities for Americans throughout the country. The free event is open to the public and will be held at the Nevada Museum of Art that day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
More than 750 small business owners, job seekers, students, educators, and entrepreneurs are expected to join the event’s full day agenda includes one-on-one coaching sessions, in-depth workshops, and demos. Topics will include coding and education on using Google’s full suite of tools. There will also be spotlights of “digital heroes” and small business success stories from the community.
Grow with Google is an initiative that draws on Google’s 20-year history of building products, platforms, and services that help people and businesses grow. The event aims to help those who make up the workforce of today and the students who will drive the workforce of tomorrow to access the best of Google’s training and tools to grow their skills, careers, and businesses. Grow with Google events are occuring in cities and towns across the United States, one in each state.
Many factors influenced Google’s decision to bring Grow with Google to Reno, including the areas fast-growing economy, tech scene, and strong community development.
Grow with Google will take place at the Nevada Museum of Art, located at 160 W Liberty St., Reno, NV 89501. Attendees are strongly recommended to register for the event in advance at g.co/growreno.
