The Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) is hosting free irrigation and tree-care workshops in May and June.

- Tree Care Workshop on Wednesday, May 9 at 5:30 p.m.
- Drip System Maintenance Made Easy on Thursday, May 31 at 5:30 p .m.
- Sprinkler System Maintenance Made Easy on Wednesday, June 6 at 5:30 p.m.
The hour-long classes will be at TMWA’s office, 1355 Capital Boulevard in Reno.
Conservation specialists will explain the process of properly maintaining sprinkler and drip systems, plus tips needed to care for trees while saving water.

Also on Wednesday, May 9 at 5:30 p.m. is Understanding Your Drinking Water, a two-hour tour of the Glendale Water Treatment Plant.
TMWA’s water quality staff will discuss what it takes to get high-quality drinking water to your tap 24/7. Note that this tour includes lengthy walking and involves steps and uneven surfaces. RSVP for this tour to [email protected] or call 775-834-8290.
