ThisisReno paid a visit last week to the Rusty Skillet Ranch & Quail Farm, Reno’s first open-air aviary that raises quail in an organic and humane manner.

Owner Jaci Chambers told us a bit about raising quail and how she and her husband, Joe, found that raising quail was the thing for them to do.

They sell quail eggs at the Great Basin Community Food Co-op and to local restaurants through the co-op’s DROPP hub.

They also live in Reno-area’s first container home in the North Valleys.
