Victor Salcido, a local immigration attorney and small business owner, is announcing his intentions to run for Reno City Council Ward 1 in the 2016 election cycle. Ward 1 encompasses the central-west area of Reno.
Salcido stated, “I believe Reno has entered a critical time that will determine what kind of city we will have for the next 30 years. Ward 1 needs a pragmatic, consensus-building, effective leader who will support the economic vitality and quality of life the citizens of Reno deserve. I believe I am that leader.”
Salcido brings experience in all three branches of government, including working as Deputy Legislative Counsel at the State Legislature in Carson City. He is well-versed in Nevada Revised Statutes and local policies that affect the citizens of Reno.
Salcido’s campaign endorsements represent a wide political spectrum, including Republicans, Democrats and Independents alike. He plans to visit as many citizens as he can throughout the next year and is available to answer any questions and discuss ideas to improve Reno.
